If your small to medium-sized office needs a new hard-working little printer, then look no further. The HL-L5100DN is wonderfully fast, without any loss of quality on text-only prints. The unit is small and light, so if space is at a premium it is definitely worth considering. There is some loss of quality on graphic and photo prints, and the printer does not support wireless connectivity. But, overall, this is the best budget, mono printer out there.

It produces solid quality prints at a decent speed, and the optional addition of an extra 500 page paper drawer means that, if continuous printing is a priority, this device can do the job. The design is neat and tidy, with a sharp colour touchscreen.

The LaserJet Pro M102w produces really excellent text prints even at very small font sizes. The quality suffers somewhat on image printing but, with such a low price tag, this is not a crushing criticism. An unfortunate drawback is that there is no support for ethernet connectivity, however, this is a fantastic laser printer for home use.

Security features are plentiful, as are connectivity options. If you have a high output of large documents (and can manage the hefty price tag!) this machine is certainly worth a look.

It is unformtunate that the paper tray does not have a very large capacty, however, this remains a good choice for a small office requiring high quality prints

Although the device is fairly large, it comes equipped with additional USB ports to allow for simple connectivity. Consider this if you need to print, copy and scan, but you don’t want to break the bank.
